Minimum Wages in Rajasthan: Rates for All Worker Categories
The Rajasthan State Government has revised the minimum wages for workers. The minimum wage is calculated by adding the basic wage and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA).Â
The minimum wages are fixed based on the skill level of the worker. The categories are divided into:
- Unskilled workers: Watchmen, welders, work keepers, creche attendants, watermen, petrol loaders, pump operators, crater men, gangmen, wool washers, etc.
- Semi-skilled workers:Assistant carpenters, semi-skilled clerks, land surveyors, creche-in-charge, wiremen, head dealers, assistant turners, assistant operators, stone dressers and cutters, tyre fitters, lift operators, pipers, etc.
- Skilled workers: Masons, tailors, tanners, painters, mechanics, fitters, blacksmiths, carpenters, linemen, plumbers, library clerks, typists, cashiers, etc.
- Highly skilled workers: Chemists, medical representatives, pharmacists, lab technicians, etc.
