Born in 1952 to agriculturist parents, he hails from Vigodi, a village in the state of Gujarat. He graduated in Commerce from the University of Mysore in 1973. Completing his Articleship with Mr B.M. Shantharam Rao, Mangalore, he passed his Final examination and became a Chartered Accountant in 1977.

He began his career in M/s Shanthamurthy & Co., Chartered Accountants and went on to become a partner of the same firm in 1980.

He started in the year 1982, Patel Mohan Ramesh & Co, a partnership firm along with Mr.S.Mohan & Mr.M.J.Ramesh, at Chennai and Bangalore respectively.

He became a Fellow Member of The Institute Of Chartered Accountants Of India in the year 1983. He Co-founded Relyon Softech Limited. in the year 2000 and has been chairman of the company since then. He is presently,
